Barbara Bui Pre-Fall 2013 Collection

Barbara Bui has always been one of my favourite fashion designers. With this pre-fall 2013 collection, she has just made me love her/her designs even more. Black, gold and beige are three main colors in this collection. Still the same familiar elegant yet so chic elements from Barbara. I love the deep cut which shows such a strong careful handmade tailored feature. This seems to be still on trend next season and might be even bigger, greater than last Fall. Minimalism is surely a big thing without a doubt. Less is more which will be right for colors/patterns but layering would be remained. Menswear features are still being applied quite a lot but in a more elegant form, rather than the 80s' tomboyish style. The printing pattern which looks like over-laced surface is heavily graphic/illustrated. This also reminds me of beautiful illustration works done by Rob Ryan. (*little fact: I'm in the same class with his daughter who is also brilliant, especially at making zines!).

Olive Green for Winter

Monki beanie, United Colors of Benetton jacket, The Jazzy Workshop maxi dress, River Island creepers, H&M bag. Photos taken by Betty Hu.

I know I haven't been updating for quite a while but I hope I'll get back on track soon. Lots of things have been happening lately, mostly fun/good things. Looking forward to busy yet exciting days ahead.

Happy New Year 2013

To be honest, winter is not really my favourite season of the year. However, I love the idea of layering and being a bit messy/ too much/ over the top. And winter is probably the only time I could actually do this. Even though sometimes I feel like it shouldn't be this cold so I could wear less and still feel nice, I guess winter has its own charm. All I have to do is to have fun with it, I mean, both layering and winter. And as you see, this is the first post of 2013! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! Let's wish this shall be the best year so far for everyone! Health, luck and happiness for us all. Exactly one more week til I have to hand in my portfolio, so I'll try to pay real good time on it now. Wish me luck. Cheers!

Blue Me Away

Some not-so-old photos. This is actually one of my recent favourite outfits, so I feel like I just have to give it a place on my new blog somehow. The maxi dress is from Public Aware, a hidden brand I found somewhere around Brick Lane's corner. Those creepers which I bought while ago from River Island, is actually on sale right now! The dark blue scarf I got from a Scandinavian store last season which I didn't really use much until recently. And my most favourite hat is from Monki! The rest is unbranded or as long as it concerns, I think I've got them all from either a thrift store or somewhere back in Vietnam. Photos taken with my smartphone so I was kinda surprised the quality isn't that bad. Ok, I'll try to do some work for now. And maybe try my best to wake up not-too-late to enjoy the last Sunday of 2012 in central London? Fingers crossed! Cheers!

The Standard Homemade Dinner

Just casual dinner. Or at least what I prefer to have for every relaxing night in. Roasted chicken, baked mushrooms and bread butter. Light drink is a must. Dry beer always tastes better. Not to mention, watching  drama in bed while having your homemade dinner is just real treasure. It's very important for one to have (good) friends around, but also it's very important for one to know how to enjoy being alone some time. More photos of outfits and projects are on the way. Cheers.

Christmas Theme Outfit

This is the first entry on this blog. I've been doing blogging for quite a while but most often I find myself writing random thoughts on blog instead of posting pictures or showing my 'visual interests'. So here it is, I'll try to keep this up more as a fashion/design blog. That's all I can say for now. Above are some pictures that Polly helped to take with Christmas theme. Cheers.
